DUELISTS Card condition disclaimer
A clear explanation of how we describe the cards we sell.
Our assessment is subjective
We at Duelists Den assess each card’s condition using our own judgment. Labels such as Near Mint, Lightly Played and Moderately Played reflect our personal opinion of the card’s visible condition. Different collectors and sellers may assess the same card differently.
Condition labels are not professional grades
Our condition labels are not third-party grading certificates or guarantees of a particular grading score. Near Mint does not mean flawless: a card may have minor wear or small imperfections. We aim to describe cards honestly, but subtle marks may be difficult to see.
All listing images are reference images
We use TCGplayer reference images for our listings. These images identify the card; they are not photographs of the physical copies we sell and do not show their condition. The image may show a 1st Edition card even when our listed copy is Unlimited, or show another printing. Please rely on the written listing details and your selected option for the set code, rarity, edition, language and condition—not on markings or wear shown in the reference image.
Ask us before ordering
If condition is important to your purchase, contact us before submitting your order or making payment. You can ask for front and back photos, close-ups, or clarification about wear. We want you to feel comfortable with the copy you choose.
If something seems wrong
If the card you receive does not match the written listing details or the condition you selected, contact us with your order number and clear photos so we can review the issue with you. A difference from the TCGplayer reference image alone is expected and does not describe the physical copy. This page explains our assessment process; it does not remove your applicable consumer rights.
